Dr. Dubravka (Dee) Gavric, C.Psych.
Dr. Gavric is a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Gavric completed her Masters and Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo and her pre-doctoral residency at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She provides consultation, assessment, and cognitive behaviour therapy to adults and adolescents, and has a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress, insomnia, depression, and related difficulties. Dr. Gavric works collaboratively with her clients in order to develop a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and goals. She understands that reaching out to a psychologist can be a daunting experience that often takes much courage, and is committed to creating a safe and trusting environment for the individuals she works with.
In addition to co-founding and working at the Waterloo CBT Clinic, she also works as a psychologist at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, is an adjunct faculty member in the Psychology Department at the University of Waterloo, and is an assistant clinical professor (part-time) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is actively involved in research to better understand anxiety and mood difficulties and her work has been published in scientific journals and presented at international conferences. She is actively involved in supervising and training students and other health professionals in assessment and delivery of evidence-based treatments.
