Dr. Jennifer Boyd, C.Psych.

Dr. Boyd is a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Boyd completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Toronto, and her Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology, both at the University of Waterloo. She completed her pre-doctoral residency at The Ottawa Hospital. She has worked in private practice in Waterloo Region since 2013. Dr. Boyd has a particular interest in anxiety disorders, and works with individuals experiencing the following issues: phobias, panic disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and health anxiety. As well, she treats disordered eating, body image issues, perfectionism, depression, and trauma. She assists individuals who have experienced a physical injury, illness, or chronic pain in adjusting and coping with changed life circumstances. Outside of co-founding and working at the Waterloo CBT Clinic, she also serves as a board member for the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), and as a clinical adjunct supervisor at the University of Waterloo. She regularly updates her training and knowledge through extensive reading, consultation, and attendance at professional workshops and conferences.

Dr. Boyd recognizes that each individual comes to treatment with unique history, life circumstances, and problem areas. She works jointly with her clients to come to a clear understanding of problem areas, and to develop a treatment plan with their specific goals in mind.
