Dr. Jennifer Boyd is a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has worked in private practice in Waterloo Region since 2013 and co-founded Waterloo CBT Clinic in 2018. Prior to working in private practice, Dr. Boyd completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Toronto, and her Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology, both at the University of Waterloo. She completed her pre-doctoral residency at The Ottawa Hospital.

Dr. Boyd provides Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to treat a range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and body image concerns. She also assists individuals who have experienced a physical injury, illness, or chronic pain in adjusting and coping with changed life circumstances. Dr. Boyd recognizes that each individual comes to treatment with unique history, life circumstances, and problem areas. She works collaboratively with her clients to come to a clear understanding of problem areas, and to develop a treatment plan with their specific goals in mind. Dr. Boyd offers in-person daytime appointments Monday through Thursday.

Dr. Boyd is a member of a number of professional associations including the Ontario Psychological Associate (OPA), the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Canadian Association of CBT (CACBT). Dr. Boyd regularly updates her knowledge by attending conferences, workshops, and engaging in consultation with her colleagues.

When not at work, Dr. Boyd spends her time reading, painting and gardening.
